Break & Enter – Arrests – C17-96679
 
On May 9, 2017 at approximately 2 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of individuals who had entered a house under construction in the 100 block of Margaret Swann Drive.
 
A General Patrol unit, with the assistance of K9 units and AIR1, attended to the house and observed entry had been forced. A K9 unit was utilized to safely take two suspects into custody.
 
It has been determined that the suspects had stolen copper piping and wiring, causing significant damage to the house. 
 
An adult male and female have both been arrested for theft related offences.
 
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
     
Male Shot Investigation – C17-96689
 
On May 9, 2017 at approximately 2:45 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a report of an individual suffering from a gunshot wound in the first 100 block of Agate Bay. 
 
Upon arrival, General Patrol members located a 31-year-old male suffering from a gun-shot wound to the lower body. The male was transported to hospital in stable condition.
 
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
