Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision - UPDATE: C17-107916
Traffic collision investigators have now identified additional details of the suspect vehicle involved in the fatal traffic collision that occurred Sunday morning.
   
Investigators are requesting the public's assistance in locating the driver, and suspect vehicle described as a mid-2000 four-door Honda Accord, silver or grey in colour. The vehicle will have damage to the passenger-side front bumper.
   
Investigators are also looking to speak to any witnesses, and specifically a witness who was riding a bicycle in the vicinity of the collision.
   
As previously released:
On May 21, 2017, at approximately 3:15 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a report of a male down in the roadway in the 300 block of Cumberland Ave. A 30-year-old male as transported to hospital in critical condition, but later succumbed to his injuries. It has been determined that the victim was struck by a vehicle while he was in the roadway.
   
This investigation is continuing by members of the Central Traffic Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6271 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
