Attempt Murder – Arrest: C17-109571
On Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at approximately 2:35 a.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a female being assaulted in the 900 block of Dominion St. Prior to police arrival a passerby attempted to assist, but was chased off.  The suspect, armed with a knife, then stole the passerby's vehicle and fled.
   
The twenty-year-old female victim was transported to hospital in critical – unstable condition. The victim's condition has now been ugragded to stable.
   
The accused male was arrested by the RCMP on Highway #10 near the United States border.
   
Junior SESAY, 21 has been charged with the following offences:
   - Attempt Murder
   - Robbery
   - Break & Enter (Dwelling House)
   
The accused was detained in custody.
   
Homicide – Investigation: C17-110021
On May 23rd, 2017, at approximately 3:15 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a report of an injured male in the 300 block of Kennedy Street.
   
A 22-year-old male was located outside an apartment block suffering from what appeared to be an upper-body stab wound. He was transported to hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
   
This investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators or who may have been in the area at the time of the incident are asked to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
