Male Shot: C17-150094:
On July 8, 2017 at approximately 6:30 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were called to the first 100 block of Isabel St. regarding a male shot. Members attended and located an adult male suffering from a gunshot to the upper body. The male was transported to hospital in critical condition. He has since been upgraded to stable condition.
   
   
Two Males Shot: C17-150861
On July 9, 2017 at approximately 3:00 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were called to the 500 block of Elgin Ave. regarding shot fired. Members attended and located two adult males, each suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. One male was transported to hospital in stable condition and later released. The second male was treated at the scene.
   
   
Male Shot: C17-151341:
On July 9, 2017 at approximately 8:30 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were called to the 400 block of Boyd Av regarding a male shot. Members attended and located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body. The male was transported to hospital in critical condition. He has since been upgraded to stable condition. His wound was determined to be extensive but not life threatening.
   
These investigations are continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. We are asking any witnesses or anyone with information that may assist investigators to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477). 
   
Break & Enter and Theft - Arrests: C17-150320
On July 1, 2017 a vehicle was stolen from the first 100 block of Loewen Pl.

Between July 4 & 5, 2017 three vape businesses in Winnipeg were broken into and a variety of items were stolen.

On July 5, 2017, a 2015 Toyota 4 Runner was reported stolen from a dealership in the 2500 block of Pembina Highway.

On July 7, 2017, three new vehicles were stolen from a dealership in the 1700 block of Waverley St.

On July 7, 2017 a Ford F150 and a Mazda B400 were stolen from the area of Markham Rd. and Pembina hwy.

On July 8, 2017 a business was broken into in the first 100 block of Rothwell Rd.  Nothing was stolen.

On July 8, 2017 at approximately 2:15 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Tactical Support Team observed the stolen Toyota 4 Runner travelling in the area of Silverstone Ave and Tamworth Bay. A high risk vehicle stop was initiated and all 4 males were taken into custody.
   
A search of the vehicle revealed a black Smith and Wesson Pellet Gun located on the floor of the rear passenger side seat.
   
John Randall MEADOWS, 19-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with:
Possess Firearm contrary to order
Use imitation Firearm in commission of offence
Possess weapon
Point Firearm
PGOBC under $5000
PGOBC over $5000
FTC with Probation Order
   
Jeremy Enrico LAJOIE, 18-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with:
PGOBC under $5000 x 2
PGOBC over $5000
Theft over $5000
Break and Enter with intent
Break and Enter-Theft x 4
Possess identity documents
   
A 17 -year-old youth male has been charged with:
Fail to Comply with Undertaking
PGOBC over $5000
Theft over $5000 x 2
Break and Enter- Theft x 4
PGOBC under $5000 x 2
   
A 16-year-old youth male has been charged with:
Break and Enter x 2
Theft over $5000
PGOBC over $5000
Dangerous operation of MV
Fail to Comply with condition of Undertaking


Robbery – Arrests: C17-151140  
On July 9, 2017, at approximately 12:00 p.m., three suspects attended to a residence in the 1200 block of Alexander Avenue where they entered a door and confronted two victims. A victim was struck in the head while the suspects stole a number of electronics and a vehicle.
   
At approximately 2 p.m., the stolen vehicle was involved in a hit & run with another vehicle near a business in the 200 block of St. Mary's Road.
   
At approximately 5:15 p.m., the suspects were observed to be fighting within a vehicle in a parking lot at a mall in the 1200 block of St. Mary's Road. This was observed by mall security who contacted police.
   
General Patrol members attended and located the vehicle as it attempted to leave the parking lot. The three suspects were placed under arrest and a small quantity of methamphetamine was located in the vehicle.
   
The investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
   
Grant George Oswald Barthelette, a 26-year-old of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
   
- Break & Enter to commit Theft - Dwelling House
- Robbery (x2)
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance - Methamphetamine
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Warrant for Arrest (Fail to Comply Probation x2)
   
Matthew John Delorme, a 23-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
   
- Break & Enter to commit Theft - Dwelling House
- Robbery (x2)
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance - Methamphetamine
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Warrant for Arrest (Fail to Comply Probation)
   
Tara-Lynn Lightfoot, a 26-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
   
- Break & Enter to commit Theft - Dwelling House
- Robbery (x2)
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance - Methamphetamine
- Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice
- Fail to exchange particulars (Highway Traffic Act)
- Drive without licence or with invalid licence (x2) (Highway Traffic Act)
   
All three were detained in custody.
   
CDSA Search Warrant – Arrests: C17-149282  
During the evening of July 7, 2017, members of the Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of members from the Division 11, District 3 and East District Station Community Support Units, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant a residence in the 2000 block of King Edward Street.
   
This was the result of an extensive investigation into a drug network operating within the City of Winnipeg.
   
A total of 9 individuals have been arrested and charged with drug-related offences. Investigators have also recovered a significant quantity of narcotics and seized a number of items:
   
- 7.75 kilograms of cocaine (valued at approximately $475,000).
- 79 grams of crack cocaine (valued at $6,320).
- 11 grams of methamphetamine (valued at $1,650).
- 9 mobile phones.
- Packaging materials.
- A digital scale.
   
3 adult males and 4 adult females have been charged with:
   
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
   
1 adult male has been charged with:
   
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
   
1 adult male has been charged with:
   
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
   
 
All 9 individuals were released on a Promise to Appear.
