Threats Investigations – Winnipeg Police Service Member Arrested
Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Professional Standards Unit have been involved in a criminal investigation regarding incidents between two on duty members that occured in 2016.

The investigation has resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old male, a fifteen-year member of the Service.  He is facing several threat related charges for his alleged involvement. These include:

-Point Firearm x2
-Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm x2

The Director of the Independent Investigations Unit was notified of his arrest and had been monitoring the investigation.  The officer was released on a Promise to Appear and is currently on Administrative Leave.
