Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision: C17-226140

On October 7, 2017, at approximately 1:40 a.m. emergency personnel responded to the area of London St. and Amelia Cr. regarding a serious single vehicle collision. An adult male was transferred to hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation has determined that a male, identified as Leyland MCDOUGAL, 29-years-old of Winnipeg was operation a motorcycle northbound on London St. when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. The driver was not wearing a helmet and sustained critical injuries. A passer-by came upon the accident a short time later and notified emergency services.

Members of the Central Traffic Collision Investigation Unit continued to investigate the incident.
