On November 15, 2017, the Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit, a joint forces unit between the Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP, arrested Michel Burton DESCHAMPS, a convicted high risk sex offender, for breaching the conditions of his Probation Order.  DESCHAMPS was being investigated after receiving information from the public who recognized him from a Community Notification Advisory Committee (CNAC) Sex Offender Notification. 
DESCHAMPS remains in custody.
The Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP would like to thank members of the public for their assistance in this matter.
