Thursday, November 2, 2017 Firearms - Arrests: C17-246395 On October 30, 2017 at approximately 10:10 p.m. an off duty officer observed a suspicious male, in the company of two other males, inside a business in the 1900 block of Bishop Grandin Blvd. The off duty officer was aware that one of the males had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.   Winnipeg Police General Patrol officers attended and located the three males inside the establishment. It was confirmed that all three males had outstanding warrants for their arrest. The males were arrested ad two of them were found to be in possession of a large quantity of drugs as well as firearms and ammunition. The Street Crimes Unit continued to investigate and obtained a search warrant for two vehicles belonging to the males. As a result, a number of additional firearms and drugs were located and seized. The following is a list of the total items seized: $9814.50 Canadian currency .39 grams of an unknown substance 2 magazines - 1 loaded with Luger 9mm ammunition 56.4 grams Marijuana 63.38 grams of powder cocaine 79.3 grams of Methamphetamine A black "bear claw" shredding tool A box of shotgun shells A hatchet A Sturm Ruger, Mini 30, "Ranch Rifle" with a magazine loaded with three rounds of ammunition An SKS style semi-automatic rifle Gun Holster Loaded 9mm Sawed-off Semi-Automatic Rifle Rifle ammunition Score Sheets Smith and Wesson Model 659 handgun Two "banana clip" style high capacity magazines, one loaded with ten to twelve rounds of ammunition. Two Cell Phones Weigh digital scale Winchester Air Pistol The Sturm Ruger, Mini 30, "Ranch Rifle" was found to have been stolen during a break-in which occurred in West St. Paul in April 2017.   Morgan Stuart KNOTT, 33-years-old of Regina, Saskatchewan has been charged with the following offences: Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition Carry Concealed Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition Fail to Comply with Probation Order Possess Weapon X3 Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized X5 Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime X2 Possession of a Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order X21 Possession of a Scheduled Substance - Marihuana Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 Storage of Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations X2 Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle X2 Stephen Bartholomew EGESZ, 33-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with the following offences: Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 Possess Weapon X2 Carry Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition X2 Possess Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order Both males have been detained in custody. A 37-year-old male of Winnipeg was also arrested and charged with Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.    Serious Motor Vehicle Collision - C170247526 On November 1, 2017 at approximately 10:30 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle at Ellice Ave. and Milt Stegal Dr. Upon arrival, a 33-year-old male was located and transported to hospital in critical condition. His condition was later upgraded with stable. Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Central Traffic Collision Investigation Unit continue to investigate. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Central Traffic Division at 204-986-6271.   Aggravated Assault - Arrest: C17-247660 On November 1, 2017 at approximately 2:010 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a report of an injured male in the area of Martha St. and Henry Ave. Upon arrival a 42-year-old male was located suffering from a stab wound to the upper body. He was transported to hospital in critical condition. The investigation revealed that the victim was involved in an altercation with a female near the corner of Austin St. and Henry Ave. when he was stabbed him once with a knife. An adult female was located on the scene and placed under arrest. Harriet Jane PASCAL, 31-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Possess Weapon, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order X3. The victim remains in hospital at this time. This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
