Impaired Driving – Arrest: C17-251081
On November 6, 2017, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Air-1 was performing regular flight operations when it observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the area of McPhillips St. and Inkster Blvd. The vehicle, an SUV, had extensive front-end damage and was throwing off sparks due to its front passenger tire being at a 90-degree angle to the vehicle.

The SUV's position was relayed to General Patrol Units which located the vehicle stopped in the 300 block of Kingsbury Ave. At approximately 12:30 a.m. arrested an adult male outside of the vehicle.

Jessie Hawk COOKE, 20, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Drive While Impaired
  • Refuse to Provide Breath Sample
  • Fail to Comply Probation Order
  • Drive While Disqualified
  • Driver Carry Open Liquor

Cooke was detained in custody. 

Child Sexual Imagery - Arrest: R17-84575
On September 18, 2017 a female youth contacted the Winnipeg Police Service advising that intimate images of her had been posted on social media. She advised that this image of her had been taken approximately one month earlier.

On October 23, 2017, members of the Internet Child Exploitation reviewed a Cybertip report and confirmed that the victim's images had been shared.

On November 6, 2017, a 17-year-old male of Winnipeg has been arrested and charged with Distribute Intimate Image without Consent.
