Drug - Arrest: C17-279801
On December 13, 2017 at approximately 8:00 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Street Crime and Tactical Support Units executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Waterfront Drive. The following items were seized:

  • .308 rifle
  • 30.24 grams of cocaine with a street value of $1500
  • Approximately 50kg of cocaine cutting agent
  • A small amount of money 

Travis Kenneth William SADOWY, 27-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Possession of Scheduled Substance - Cocaine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance X5
  • Possess Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
  • Possess Firearm Knowing it's Possession is Unauthorized.
  • Possess Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
  • Possess Weapon

He was detained in custody. An adult female was also arrested for related offences and released on a Promise to Appear.
   
   
Shooting - Investigation: C17-280489
On December 14, 2017 at approximately 2:15 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of a male who had been shot in the 100 block of Hargrave Street.
   
Upon arrival, a male in his 20's was located suffering from a significant gunshot wound to his lower body. Officers immediately provided first aid and applied a tourniquet to the victim. The male was transported to hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable condition.
   
An adult female was also located at the scene with minor injuries. She was transported to hospital in stable condition.
   
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
