Robberies – Arrest: C17-271283
   
On December 2, 2017, at approximately 10:45 a.m., Winnipeg Police arrested a 27-year-old male in relation to a series of 4 robberies that had occurred earlier that morning.
   
Cory Roger LEGAULT, of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
  - Robbery x 4
  - Wearing a Disguise with Intent to Commit a Crime
   
 Legault was detained in custody.
   
At approximately 9:20 a.m.  that morning a male suspect, with his face concealed, robbed a financial institution located in the 1500 block of Regent Ave. West.
 
At approximately 9:35 a.m. that morning a male suspect attempted to rob a restaurant located in the 1500 block of Regent Ave. West however he was not successful in his attempt.
   
At approximately 9:40 a.m.a male suspect attempted to rob a liquor store located in the 1500 block of Regent Ave. West however he was not successful in his attempt.
   
At approximately 10:35 a.m. a male suspect attempted to rob a store located in the 400 block of William Ave., however he was not successful.
   
At approximately 10:45 a.m. Legault was observed in the 400 block of William Ave and placed under arrest for the noted robberies.
   
A K-9 officer was actively involved in tracking a suspect in relation to these incidents. At the intersection of William Ave. and Harriet St. the officer was struck by an uninvolved passing motor vehicle. The officer was conveyed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries where he was treated and released. The service dog was not injured.
