Stabbing – Investigation: C18-13242
 
On January 18, 2018, at approximately 5:45 p.m., emergency services personnel responded to the report of an injured female in the 400 block of Furby Street. 
 
General Patrol officers attended and identified an adult female suffering from a stab wound to her lower body. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition where she remains at this time. 
 
A second victim, an adult female, was identified with stabbed wounds to her upper body. She was treated in hospital in later released. 
 
This investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
Stabbing – Investigation: C18-13350
 
On January 18, 2018, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Winnipeg Police received a report of an injured female at a business in the 500 block of Balmoral Street. 
 
Tactical Support Team members attended and located a 26-year-old female with stab wounds to her upper body.  The victim was transported to hospital in unstable condition. Her condition has since been upgraded to stable. 
 
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
Stabbing – Investigation: C18-13416
 
On January 18, 2018, at approximately 8:05 p.m., emergency services personnel responded to the report of an injured male in the 500 block of Furby Street. 
General Patrol members attended and located a 25-year-old male with a stab wound to the upper body. He was transported to hospital in critical condition and has since been upgraded to stable. 
 
Officers learned that there was a small gathering of people in a residence when an argument took place between the two males. The situation escalated to point where the victim as chased by the suspect and stabbed in the upper body. 
 
Air1 and the Tactical Support Team attended and searched the area. A male was located in the area and was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. 
 
Robert Elliot Sutherland, 21-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Fail to Comply with Conditions of Recognizance X2. He has been detained in custody. 
 
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
Firearm & Drugs – Arrests: C18-12968
 
During the day of January 18, 2018, members of the District 3 Community Support Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of Stella Avenue.
 
Three individuals were taken into custody and an investigation has led to the seizure of a number of items including the following:
 
- A loaded sawed-off 12-gauge pump action shotgun
- 2 12-gauge shotgun shells
- 2 .22 calibre ammunition cartridges
- .75 grams of methamphetamine (valued at approximately $20)
 
Stuart Bruce Fritzley, a 32-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Weapon
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
- Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x4)
- Possession of Scheduled Substance - Methamphetamine
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x2)
 
Chasity Victoria Faith Gentes, a 24-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Weapon
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
- Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
- Possession of Scheduled Substance - Methamphetamine
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x2)
 
Michelle Natasha Lerat, a 34-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Weapon
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
- Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
- Possession of Scheduled Substance - Methamphetamine
 
They were detained in custody.
 
Investigators believe that this arrest and the seized items are related to drug trafficking within the city.
 
Drugs – Arrest: C18-13410
 
During the evening of January 18, 2018, members of the Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of Burrows Avenue.
 
A female was taken into custody and an investigation has led to the seizure of a number of items including the following:
 
- 7.35 ounces of methamphetamine (valued at approximately $30,850)
- 7.45 grams of cocaine (valued at approximately $600)
- Electric stun gun
- Folding knife
- Containers with false bottoms/covers
- Digital scale
- Packaging materials 
- 3 mobile phones
- $755 Canadian currency
- $10 United States currency
 
Pamela Church, a 27-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Weapon (x2)
- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition (x2)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
- Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x3)
 
She was detained in custody.
 
Investigators believe that this arrest and the seized items are related to drug trafficking within the city.
