Tuesday, February 13, 2018 Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision: C18-31476    On February 13, 2018, at approximately 8:20 a.m., emergency services personnel responded to the intersection of St. Annes Rd. and Varennes Ave. for a report of a Motor Vehicle Collision involving a pedestrian. An 8-year-old boy was attempting to cross St. Annes Rd. using a pedestrian crosswalk when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene while the boy was transported to hospital in critical condition. Tragically the victim has since succumbed to his injuries. Next of kin have been notified, as have schools in the immediate area. This investigation is continuing by members of the Traffic Unit.
