Robbery - Arrest: C18-47150

On March 6, 2018, at approximately 8:40 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service was alerted to a commercial robbery where a customer was stabbed. General Patrol officers attended to a convenience store in the 100 block of Isabel Street and located a 38-year-old male with a stab wound to his upper body. He was transported to hospital where he remains at this time.

The suspect had attended to the convenience store and due to a previous encounter, he was asked to leave by an employee. The suspect grabbed two drinks and attempted to run out of the store when a customer intervened. The customer attempted to hold on to the suspect when he was stabbed once in the upper body by an unknown person. Both suspects fled on foot.

A K-9 unit attended, tracking and locating one suspect in the area.

The employee noted that the arrested suspect was responsible for a theft from the store on February 22, 2018.

Ermiyas Isaac DANGERFIELD, 20-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Theft Under $5000
  • Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking X2

He has been detained in custody.
