Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision: C18-115849
Public Assistance Requested

On June 2, 2018, at approximately 2:15 p.m., emergency services personnel responded to the intersection of Portage Ave. and Home St. for a serious motor vehicle collision.

A westbound motorcycle on Portage Ave. collided with a van travelling north on Home St. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital in critical condition, however he has since succumbed to his injuries.

The unidentified driver of the van and a passenger fled the area on foot. A number of people came forward and offered assistance to the driver of the motorcycle.

Police are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have information concerning the incident contact traffic investigators at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
