Cops for Kids Spin Through City Place

The Winnipeg Police Service "Cops for Kids" Relay Team will be at City Place (2nd floor near the food court) on Friday, August 10th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm to kick off their True Grit Tour which starts on September 10th.

The event will include members riding stationary bikes, The Children's Wish Foundation taking donations, t-shirts being sold and raising awareness of the True Grit Tour and fundraising efforts for The Children's Wish Foundation.

All money raised from the tours go directly to granting the Wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses through The Children's Wish Foundation. It is with limitless courage and bravery that these children face daily or lifetime treatments along with the reality that their life may be unfortunately cut short.

Interviews will be available with members of the True Grit Tour Team and The Children's Wish Foundation.

True Grit Tour - On September 10, 2018, members of the Winnipeg Police Service "Cops for Kids" relay team will begin their 12th fundraising tour by cycling from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Tucson, Arizona.  Members of the team have committed to cycling for five consecutive days for an approximate distance of 3000 Km - all in the name of granting the wish of a child in need!  For more information or to donate visit: www.childrenswish.ca/copsforkids

Children's Wish Foundation of Canada - Manitoba & Nunavut Chapter - Is the largest and only all-Canadian wish-granting charity dedicated to granting wishes to Canadian children between the ages of 3 and 17 who are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
