Serious Motor Vehicle Collision: C18-171578

On August 8, 2018, at approximately 8:00 p.m., emergency services personnel responded to a motor vehicle collision between a van and a pedestrian.

As a result of the collision a four-year-old child was transported to hospital in stable condition.

The driver briefly stopped, but then fled the area. Officers located the van, abandoned, a short distance away. The driver has not yet been located.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Traffic Division, Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

 

Drug - Arrest: C18-170348

On August 7, 2018, at approximately 10:20 a.m., members of the Street Crime Unit, Tactical Support Unit, Central District Community Support, and North District General Patrol attended a residence in the first 100 block of Kimwood Bay in attempt to execute a CDSA search warrant. An adult male was seen leaving the residence and entering a vehicle. The vehicle was stopped in the area Grassie Blvd and Plessis Rd. and the male was taken into custody.

  • Officers executed the search at the property and located the following:
  • Approximately 169 grams of powder cocaine
  • Approximately 15 grams of crack cocaine
  • Two digital scales
  • Unused dime bags and sandwich bags

Jeus Marvin ALBERT, a 41-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Fail to Comply with Recognizance X3.
