Aggravated Assault – Arrests: C18-168727   
On August 4, 2018, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a male shot in the area of Roy Ave. and Cecil St. The 18-year-old male victim was transported to hospital in critical condition with life-altering injuries.

A short time later officers from the Street Crime Unit observed a suspect vehicle in the area of Logan St. and Arlington Ave. The SUV fled the area but crashed in the 500 block of Elgin Ave. Four adult males were arrested and a sawed-off shotgun was located.

The investigation determined that the victim was riding his bicycle along with 2 relatives when he was confronted by the 4 suspects who drove in front of them blocking their path. The 2 parties were not known to each other. One of the accused brandished a gun and the victims attempted to flee, however, the 18-year-old fell. He was then shot by one of the suspects sustaining serious injuries.

Numerous Firearms Offences
Breach of  Recognizance x 3

Joey MORRISSETTE, 23
Charged:
Aggravated Assault
Robbery with Firearm
Numerous Firearms Offences


Savannah LINKLATER, 18
Charged:
Robbery with Firearm
Breach of Court Order
Numerous Firearms Offences

Mitchell MANN, 23
Charged with 36 offences in total. (Additional charges relate to 28 separate instances of Theft Under $5,000 from 28 liquor outlets throughout the city).

All 4 accused were detained in custody.
