Marihuana Grow Operation Arrests – R15-14484
On August 19, 2015, after a lengthy investigation, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Marihuana Grow Operation Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Boyd Avenue.  Two occupants within the residence were arrested without incident.

A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of the following:

  • 160 marihuana plants with an estimated street value of $179,200.00
  • Grow operation equipment valued at $5,000.00
  • $7,735.00 in Canadian Currency

Due to their alleged involvement, a 49-year-old male & 30-year-old female, both of Winnipeg, are facing charges of Produce a Scheduled Substance - CANNABIS (MARIHUANA), Possession of a Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – CANNABIS (MARIHUANA) and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime.

Both were released via Promise to Appear.
