Saturday, August 29, 2015   Robbery Investigation Update – Arrest – C15-156604 As previously released, on July 27, 2015, the Winnipeg Police Service received two reports of similar robberies that had occurred on separate transit buses.   In the first incident, members met with the victim who advised that at approximately 10:00 a.m. she had been sitting on a transit bus at Mountain Avenue and Arlington Street when two unknown males approached her from behind.  One of the males grabbed her phone and then both males fled.  She was not injured.   In the second, the victim advised that at approximately 11:30 a.m. she had been sitting on a transit bus at Inkster Avenue and Arlington Street when an unknown male grabbed the phone from her hand and fled.  She was not injured.   The investigation continued by members of the District 3 Crime Unit.  Attempts to identify the two suspects had been unsuccessful and investigators released their photos, asking for the public's assistance in identifying them.  With their assistance, the two suspects were identified.   On August 27th, one of the suspects was located and arrested.  Kyle James LETANDRE, 23 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Robbery x 2 and Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 2 for his alleged involvement. He was detained in custody.    The second suspect, pictured below, has been identified as Walter Aaron Russell Aaron Russell BEAR, 20 years, of Winnipeg.             Wanted                   Attempts to locate BEAR have been unsuccessful and, due to his alleged involvement, a warrant of arrest has been issued.
