Stabbing Arrest – C15-186499
On September 4, 2015 at approximately 9:00 p.m., an argument erupted at a residence on Birchbark Bay between a brother and sister due to a previous drinking party.
 
The female armed herself and proceeded to stab her brother in the upper body. As a result of the altercation, emergency personnel were notified and the 24-year-old male victim was transported to hospital in critical condition.
 
Due to the efforts of members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, the victim was stabilized.
 
Officers located and arrested a 23-year-old female at the scene. Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued to investigate.
 
She has been charged with:
 
Aggravated Assault
Possession of a Weapon
 
She was remanded into custody.
