On November 30, 2015, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a male suspect entered a taxicab while in the area of the 300 block of Henderson Highway.

It was at this time the driver was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash. Members of the Winnipeg Police Service entered into an investigation resulting in the identification of the suspect involved.

On December 6, 2015 at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers attempted to stop the suspect while he was operating a blue Ford Tempo in the area of Corydon Avenue and Lilac Street. The suspect refused and fled at a high rate of speed having no regard for public safety. He was observed travelling at high speeds while disregarding several traffic control devices. Members of the Flight Operations Unit (Air1) were called upon and continued to follow the suspect vehicle.

At one point, the suspect was observed stopping while in the area of Henderson Highway and Hoddinott Road. He confronted a female operating a Honda Civic and attempted to rob her of her vehicle. She managed to flee unharmed with her vehicle.

Patrol members, members of Tactical Support Team, working in collaboration with Air1 attempted to safely contain the suspect vehicle in the area of the 5000 block of Henderson Highway. Due to the manner of driving by the suspect, he lost control of his vehicle and came to a stop in a ditch.
