Grow Operation Arrests – R15-96971
Recently, members of the Marihuana Grow Operation Unit became involved in the investigation of a possible grow operation at a residence in the 100 block of Driftwood Bay.  As a result, investigators obtained a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Search Warrant for the residence.

On February 9, 2016, with the assistance of Uniform and Tactical Support Team members, the warrant was executed.  Two occupants within the residence were arrested without incident.  A search resulted in the seizure of the following:

· 338 Cannabis marihuana plants with an estimated street value of $378,560.00
· 565 grams of dry marihuana with an estimated street value of $5,650.00
· Over $10,600.00 in Canadian currency
· $426 in US currency
· Grow equipment valued at $$8,330.00

A 38-year-old female and 41-year-old male, both of Winnipeg, are facing charges of Produce a Scheduled Substance – CANNABIS (MARIHUANA), Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – CANNABIS (MARIHUANA) and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime.

Both were released via Promise to Appear.
