Residential Robbery – Arrests C16-73375
On April 14, 2016, at approximately 4:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police responded to a suspicious call in the 600 block of Manitoba Avenue. Information received was that two armed males with faces covered had broken into a home and assaulted the residents.

District 3 General Patrol Units arrived on scene and confronted two armed suspects. Officers drew their service pistols and challenged the suspects who were still armed at the time of the confrontation. Police were able to disarm the suspects without further incident. Police seized a 7.62 mm. sawed-off military rifle, three knives and a steel bar.

One adult female was transported to hospital in unstable condition. Two other adult female victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Thirteen adults were removed from the residence for interview. Winnipeg Transit assisted with the transport of witnesses.
