Aggravated Assault Investigation Arrest - C16-229132
On November 1, 2016 at approximately 5:35 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a stabbing incident at a residence located in the 300 block of Sherbrook Street.
   
The investigation has revealed that a group was socializing and consuming alcohol. Two males known to one another became involved in a dispute and a physical altercation erupted. A 41 year old male produced a knife and stabbed a 39 year old male multiple times, causing potentially serious injuries.
   
The 41 year old male also sustained non-life threatening injuries to the upper body during the fight. Both males are in stable condition.
   
Members of the Division 11 Crime Unit continued the investigation.
   
The 41 year old male was arrested at the scene and remains in custody. He is facing the following charges:
   
Aggravated Assault
Possession of a Weapon
Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Recognizance x 3
