On March 15, 2017 uniform members of the Winnipeg Police Service will be celebrity servers at all 10 Winnipeg area Boston Pizza Restaurants. The event starts at 11:00 a.m. and will be concluded by 8:00 p.m.
Officers will be raising funds for the Inner City Youth Scholarship Fund, in partnership with the University of Winnipeg. The funds are donated in memory of injured and fallen officers.
To date, the event has raised approximately $40,000.00 and annually generates approximately $15,000.00.
Today, celebrity servers will include Chief Danny Smyth at the City Place location.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend one of the 10 Winnipeg area Boston Pizza's and support this very worthwhile cause.
