Suspicious Male – Arrest: C17-128887
The Winnipeg Police Sex Crimes Unit has made an arrest in an incident of voyeurism first reported on June 14, 2017.

As Previously Reported:
On June 13, 2017 at approximately 2:00 p.m. Winnipeg Police were called to the University of Winnipeg regarding a suspicious male in the women's washroom.

A staff member reported that approximately 8:00 a.m. she entered a female washroom and upon entering a stall she heard another person enter the washroom. She then observed a male crawling on the washroom floor looking under stall doors before standing up and looking through a gap in the door of her stall. The staff member yelled and the male fled.

A 22-year-old male from Winnipeg has been arrested and will be charged with Voyeurism. He was released on a Promise to Appear.

Child Sexual Abuse Imagery – Arrest: R17-42076
An investigation led by the Winnipeg Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit identified a residence located in the neighbourhood of Transcona where electronic file videos of child pornography were being accessed and distributed.

As a result, a search warrant was obtained and investigators subsequently arrested a suspect.

Scott SOVAK, 41, has been charged with:
- Possession of Child Pornography
- Accessing Chid Pornography
- Distribution of Child Pornography

The accused has been detained in custody.
