Stabbing – Investigation: C17-184612
 As previously released:
On August 18, 2017, at approximately 11:15 p.m., a Division 11 General Patrol unit was flagged down in the area of Sargent Ave. and McMicken St. for a report of an injured male.

Officers located an adult male who had been stabbed. He was transported to hospital in critical condition where he remains.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit have learned that after being stabbed, the victim stumbled onto the roadway at Sargent Ave. near Langside St. where he collapsed.  He may have appeared intoxicated rather than injured.   Investigators believe that both pedestrians and occupants of vehicles travelling on Sargent Ave. may have seen the victim as he struggled to remain on his feet.

The victim has been identified as an 18-year-old male. He remains in hospital at this time.

Anyone who witnessed this event or has any information that may assist investigators is asked to call the Major Crimes Unit at 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
