Drug Offences/Search Warrant – Arrests: C17-231405

During the afternoon hours of October 13, 2017, Street Crime Unit members executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a resident in the 100 block of Leahcrest Crescent.

The warrant was the result of an investigation of various homes within the West End area, used to distribute drugs.

A total of 3 individuals have been arrested and charged with drug-related offences.

Investigators seized the following items:

·         56 grams of crack cocaine (valued at $4,480)
·         110 grams of marijuana (valued at $1,100)
·         Large amount of monies.
·         An assortment of ammunition.

One male has been charged with:

·         Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marijuana.
·         Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.
·         Fail to Comply with Weapons Prohibition (x2).

The male was detained in custody.

One female has been charged with:

·         Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.

The female has been released on an appearance notice.

One female has been charged with:

·         Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.
·         Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000.
·         Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice.
·         Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marijuana.

The female has been detained in custody.
