Homicide – Arrest: C18-112015
 
The Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit has made an arrest in the murder of 37-year-old Noel Talingdan. Talingdan had been shot on May 29, 2018, in the 700 block of Corydon Ave. A 28-year-old female had also been shot but survived her injuries. 
 
Eric John BOYLE, 30, was arrested on June 29, 2018. He has been charged with:
 
1st Degree Murder
Attempt Murder
Assault Cause Bodily Harm
Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon 
Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Knowing 
Possession is Unauthorized x 2
Unauthorizd Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition 
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession Contrary to Order X 2
Unsafe Storage 
Fail to Comply Recog 
Possess Proceeds of Crime
CDSA Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking (Methamphetamine)
 
Boyle was detained in custody.
 
In addition, an arrest warrant has been issued for Joshua Lucien Peter TURNER, 24, for 1st Degree Murder and Attempted Murder. 
 
 
Turner is approximately 5'10" (177cm), 160lbs (73kg)
 
Turner is not to be approached. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call investigators at (204) 986-6508, 911, or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
Assault Investigation – Arrests: C18-04278
 
The Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes Unit has charged 4 males in relation to a serious assault that had occurred on January 7, 2018, in the 700 block of Corydon Ave. The victims were 2 adult males. Both were transported to hospital in serious condition suffering from stab wounds.
 
On March 2, 2018 the Winnipeg Police Service had requested assistance from the public in identifying images of potential suspects. The response from the public has assisted in the investigation and as a result the following suspects have been arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault x 2. 
 
 - Jeffery CATACUTAN, 27
 
 - Justin Tyler FRANK, 29
 
 - Simon LA, 22
 
 - Jonclemon LIBREA, 22
 
All 4 were detained in custody.
