Saturday, October 8, 2016   Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision – C16-210227 On October 8, 2016, at approximately 1:30 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the 700 block of McPhillips Street for a report of a serious, single vehicle collision.     First responders located a vehicle that had collided with a building on the east side of McPhillips Street at Alfred Avenue. The lone occupants of the vehicle were a male and female, both in their thirties. They were transported to hospital in critical condition, however, both succumbed to their injuries.     This investigation is continuing by members of the Central Traffic Unit. Friday, October 7, 2016       Homicide Arrest Update – C16-208816 As previously released - On October 6, 2016 at approximately 3:10 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 300 block of Springfield Road regarding a serious assault that just occurred.     An injured 23 year old male was located suffering from critical injuries consistent with being stabbed. The following was seized and arrests made: 500 block of Young Street 199 - Cannabis marihuana plants - estimated street value $222,880.00 60 grams harvested marihuana - valued at $600.00 Grow operation equipment - valued at $12,450.00 Over 10 tons of ammunition (.223)   Two males, 44 and 42 years old are facing several drug and weapon related offences. 600 block of Rathgar Street 208 - Cannabis marihuana plants - estimated street value $232,960.00 Grow operation equipment - valued at $6,720.00 A 41 year old male is facing several drug related offences. Thank you!   Wednesday, October 5, 2016       UPDATE:  MISSING PERSON – Curtis KESSLER – C16206172 The Winnipeg Police Service is continuing to request the public's assistance in locating a missing 27 year old male, Curtis KESSLER.  It was previously reported that KESSLER was last seen in the downtown area of Winnipeg on Thursday, September 29, 2016.  There is new information to support that KESSLER may now be in the East St. Paul or Selkirk area.       KESSLER is described as a Caucasian male, 6'0" tall, 130 pounds, thin build and brush-cut brownish hair.
